Meet our new Slack bot

This month I’m excited to share a few announcements with you including our latest update - our shiny new Slack integration.

Here at Onwardly, we’re on a mission to enable tech leaders to create well-defended businesses. Whether you’re just getting started, or actively working towards a certification or audit such as ISO 27001 or SOC 2, we can help make your life easier. We continue to welcome some fantastic businesses as customers, and it’s super encouraging to see folks gaining the confidence and efficiency they were looking for.

Below I share a little more about our latest release - the new Onwardly Slack bot. Many Onwardly customers, and indeed the wider tech space use Slack as a primary communication tool. It made a lot of sense to bring Onwardly right into where so much of the action happens - so you can save time and have a better immediate experience.

It’s been a big year for Onwardly, and we have been named as a finalist in the iSANZ (Infosec Awards) Best Startup or New Business category! It’s a privilege to be considered, and to be amongst so many great people and organisations. Congrats to all the finalists!

Lastly - the Onwardly team is growing. We’re looking for a talented Business Development Manager and Lead Developer to join the fray. Startups are a fairly unique place to work, and this is an important chance to get in on the ground floor of a company that is on a big mission to help companies become more secure. New! Meet the new Onwardly Slack bot

One of the core tenants of Onwardly is to save you time by helping you keep on top of all the security-related tasks you need to do. Whether it’s getting set up with a few basic repeating tasks such as reviewing accesses or driving a compliance program such as PCI DSS - you’ll never miss a thing.

To start with, we built Onwardly to work in a browser, and use email as the primary communication channel. While this works, we think it can be better! Imagine if you could receive things like reminders and weekly reports - directly inside your messaging platform?

Today we’re announcing the Onwardly Slack bot. Quickly glance at reminders, receive weekly reports and collaborate with your team in the context of Slack. Email reminders are still there, but many may prefer to use Slack a core way of helping run their security program.

How do I get it?

The Slack bot is available now - for every customer. It takes less than 60 seconds to enable. All you need is an Onwardly account, and a Slack workspace to connect it to.
